The background

Sports-fashion company JD houses some of the biggest names in sports brands. And Nike needed a dedicated section on their digital superstore. The catch? Shopping on the JD hub was generally pretty simple—they had never offered interactive experiences on its hub before. Until now.

The execution

We created a visually rich, collage-esque experience that truly showcased Nike Air and all it had to offer. When users arrived at the experience, they’re greeted with fun animations, want-to-know-more visuals and click-worthy product callouts that make shopping more exciting. An interactive timeline featuring the history of Nike Air brings fans closer than ever before to the shoes they love.

Since this was the first integrated build on JD’s site, we had to work tirelessly to make sure the experience was optimized in order to balance the rich content and the site load. And we did it all in a tight timeline with minimal snags in the process.

The results

The Nike Air hub is here to stay on the JD e-commerce site, but that’s not all—it has the flexibility to evolve and reach even more fans over time. As sneaker shoppers flock to discover the next new release in sportswear, we can’t wait to see where it will go from here.
