Hoxton Window Project: Charlotte Kaye
This month’s Hoxton Window Project featured Charlotte Kaye, an illustrator, animator and arts teacher based in London.
To pay tribute to Shoreditch street style, Charlotte painted three paper dolls surrounded by their kooky, attachable clothing and accessories: a swimsuit adorned with a watermelon pattern, orange and yellow overalls, leopard-print sunglasses and colourful sports shoes, among others.
Each of the dolls are based loosely on one of her friends and allows passersby to imagine the characters wearing different items of clothing.
Charlotte usually creates hand-drawn animations. She has produced work for clients like The Crane Kalman Gallery, The Print Club and Noah & The Whale. You can see the full range of her work here.
